And So It Starts

Marathon number 5 is in April. April 20th to be exact. I will be running up and down the mountains in and around Roanoke, Virginia in the Blue Ridge Marathon. So today is the day. 18 weeks of training begins today.

The calendar is set. I have plotted out my training schedule. The only thing I have yet to do is create a spreadsheet of the training. I do that so I can see variations. I can tell if I miss miles. My greatest fear is that, after this summer’s injury, I do not have a good enough base to start training. I have worked very hard to build my base. I have races planned during my training time.
