I know. Who would think that I would have a race schedule that was only six months worth of races? I have, though, plotted out my races for the first six months of 2013. If I do get to all these races, I will hit my 13 in ’13 by the end of June. That is if you consider the 10K Freeze Series that TCRC puts on in January. Want to know where you can find me running these upcoming six months?
Jan 5 – January Freeze 10K Series (Otsiningo Park, Binghamton)
Jan 12 – January Freeze 10K Series (Otsiningo Park, Binghamton)
Jan 19 – January Freeze 10K Series (Otsiningo Park, Binghamton)
Jan 19 – Winter White-Out 5K Run/Walk (Rail Trail, Vestal)
I know both of these races are on the 19th. The 5K is not until noon and the 10K is at 10, 9:30 if I take the early start. I believe I can do both.
Jan 26 – January Freeze 10K Series (Otsiningo Park, Binghamton)
Feb 10 – Run With Your Hun, Valentine’s Day 5K (Rail Trail, Vestal) This race has to be run the entire 5K with a partner. I am unsure of this but if I can find someone, I’m game.
Mar 9 – St Patrick’s 4 Miler (Binghamton)
Mar 23 – Running of the Bears 5K (Vestal)
Mar 24 – 40th Annual Forks XV (Chenango Forks)
Apr 14 – Skunk Cabbage Half Marathon (Ithaca)
Apr 20 – Blue Ridge Marathon (Roanoke, VA)
May 5 – Pittsburgh UPMC Half Marathon (Pittsburgh, PA)
Jun 15 – Vestal XX (Vestal)
I also know that June, at least, holds at least one 5K that I love to run that is not yet posted on the club site. I also have a few races that I am already registered for for the second half of the year, namely the Richmond Marathon in November. I am toying with also doing the New Hampshire Marathon at the end of September but not sure yet.
What are your race plans for the year? Are you like me and plot out your races for the year?
