I usually wax political here when I discuss the upcoming election. Today I am going to point out that it is primary day in my home state of NY. If you are a registered voter, get out there and vote.
Aside from that, if you are – as I am and for the first time in a long time – still undecided about who will earn your vote in the upcoming presidential election, I want to allow you to not miss a wonderful upcoming event. ServiceNation is a coalition of 110 groups dedicated to strengthening democracy and solving problems through civic engagement and service. It is hosting a presidential forum this Thursday – September 11th – at 8 pm at Columbia University. While I normally spend Sept 11 celebrating my and several of my friends’ birthdays, I will spend this coming Thursday evening watching this forum. From what I am hearing, it will air on CNN, Thursday at 8 pm.
Below are links to the announcement of the ServiceNation forum and links to other presidential items which probably have been blogged about individually before.
- ServiceNation Presidential Forum
- Bill O’Reilly interviews Barack Obama
- AARP Webcasts of remarks by both candidates
- Saddleback Church’s Civil Forum on the Presidency – CNN analysis and video of event
Good luck and be an informed voter!
