Well, the start to the college football season was questionable.

My son’s university’s team lost on Thursday night, 38-3. Of course, they lost to Rutgers so it was not totally unexpected but it was huge.

Last night, the local university – granted, it is an hour away but it is one of the college football teams I have always followed, Syracuse University – lost pathetically. My father has season’s tickets and he and my oldest were at the game. It was horrible.

Today, that all changed. First, Appalachian State – the big formerly called division IAA team – was taking on a college football division IA powerhouse – Michigan. The underdog won!!

Then, my alma mater – West Virginia University – took on Western Michigan for a huge victory!!
