Christmas Creations
I told my neighbor Colleen, when asked, that I wasn’t making any Christmas gifts. Well, sorry Colleen, I fibbed. Alyice has done these wonderful bottles on her website – alyiceedrich.com. I read her information about the process. Of course, I am a bit behind and didn’t have any glass containers. I did, though, have some leftover… Continue reading Christmas Creations
Ornamentally Speaking 2008
To be honest, that is a bad play on words but I did four posts last year on making ornaments. This year, I have the ornaments done. It only took me three items to get them all set to go in the mail for a swap on The Latest Trends in Mixed Media. The… Continue reading Ornamentally Speaking 2008
29 Days of Giving
This time of year – the holidays – always seem to bring out giving. We give to our local religious organizations. We give to our local food pantries. We give to each other. Christmas Cards
I love the tradition of sending out Christmas cards. I usually make and send out approximately 60 of them. I have my first design done and am going to post it here. I have to say, I really want the card itself to be a deeper green, more of a forest, but this is all… Continue reading Christmas Cards
Playing Card Ornaments
I participated in a workshop run by Donna in Florida a week ago. The workshop was all about how to alter playing cards to make ornaments out of them. Here are two of my ornaments with more to come as soon as I get back to creating.
Pumpkin
The color pumpkin is one of my favorite colors. Case in point, the shirt I have on for the big concert tonight – I have floor tickets to see Little Big Town and Carrie Underwood – is pumpkin colored. My most requested baked good is pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. My favorite season of the year… Continue reading Pumpkin
Autumn Colors
One of the things I love most about living in upstate New York is fall. Not the kind our economy is taking but the season of the year. I am not sure I could live where there are not four distinct seasons. I have tons of photos of autumn colors. Now I have a small… Continue reading Autumn Colors
Halloween Charms
I use to be terrified to join a charm swap. I am still a tad bit behind some of my peers but I joined the Halloween charm swap from The Latest Trends in Mixed Media. I had so many different ideas floating around in my head. I have been on a “use what you have”… Continue reading Halloween Charms
Halloween ATC
I am in a Halloween ATC swap through The Latest Trends in Mixed Media. I went a little out of the ordinary as my ATC is off the basic size of 3.5″ x 2.5″. I put a popup haunted house on the background that is offset – making the card too big. It is creative… Continue reading Halloween ATC
