Okay, so my initial thought was to do a monthly post that had a breakdown of what I was going to be doing to help reach my aspirations for 2007. I have not really done more than treat them like resolutions to date – something to write down and then leave aside. Aspirations 2007 (look… Continue reading Monthly Visit – Aspirations 2007
A few facts before I am accused of being biased – I am the parent of student-athletes. I am also the parent of honors students. I am also the parent of Science Olympiads. I am the parent of band members. These classifications are not specific to individual students. I am the parent of at least… Continue reading Maine-Endwell School Vote – Capital Project
I am sure you all are saying what does a mother of six from upstate New York know about National Signing day for college football recruits. Okay, now the football hype is over, the real commercial part of February starts. I shouldn’t really say it waited until the football hype was over. What I can’t figure out is what idiot approved the advertising strategy used in ten cities nationwide yesterday? You all probably will recognize… Continue reading “Guerilla” Advertising or just plain stupid?
Woo hoo!!! The local news – as if those of us trying to keep warm don’t already know this – just said our local weather station at the Greater Binghamton Regional Airport is the coldest location in the Northeast with the exception of Mount Washington. That is quite a feat. Of course, Mt. Washington has… Continue reading Cold Weather
Below are my comments on a proposed vote setting for a school building project. You can see more about the project by visiting an article archive at our local paper – M-E project vote to be set – or at the school web site. I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in the… Continue reading Comments for School Board Meeting – Jan 25, 07
I have waited a few days so that I have had time to really think about what was said when President Bush addressed a joint session of Congress for the 2007 State of the Union. I have to think that if I were to place myself in his shoes, I might sound different than I… Continue reading State of Disunion
Okay, so this entry is not really about the top 10 blog tags. It is about two out of those top ten. I never thought to put my poetry on my blog but since reading that poem and poetry are in the top ten blog tags, I have decided to put one out there.… Continue reading Top 10 Blog Tags
