March came in like a lion. I was hoping, with Easter being April first, March would go out like a lamb. No such luck.
While April 1 was not a horrible day, it was brisk and damp, about 38F, as I set out to hide 400 Easter eggs for my parish egg hunt. That was more lion like than lamb.
So March saw my first road race – a local 5K – since I ran the same race last year. It was cool the morning of the race but I managed to find just the right gear to wear. I forgot my Road ID, which is unheard of. That is a definite sign of my not running enough. I am not a 5K runner, preferring distance to short races but I placed 4th in my age group.
March also saw two lay ministry classes – only three remaining before the June 30th graduation, the spring confirmation retreat and a trip to the NC Arboretum for the WNC Orchid Society show. I loved the arboretum and am thinking next big pay check without bills to pay and we are joining.
What did March bring for you? Good weather or no? Outings?
