Writing! That seems to be what I have been doing a lot of lately. I have several novels or novellas that I have written. Most of these start off as NaNoWriMo projects but get finished up well after November. I’ve never hit 50,000 words in one month. I’m okay with that as I like to take time over some parts of my writing and other parts just fly right out. I am editing and re-writing – reminds me of seeing the movie The Rewrite last year.
I’m also big on getting blog posts up on here so I am writing those. I have never been one to write a week’s worth of posts in a day and call it good. Many writers are good about batch writing. I prefer to do a post a day but there are times I do advance work for here. If I know I am going to be traveling, I will write in advance. If I am sure I will not have time in my daily schedule – what kind of writer am I if I have no time for writing?, I will write a post in advance. Normally, though, if you are seeing new writing here, you can bet I just wrote something.
An aside – I just noticed when I start writing, everything becomes a writing piece. I just responded to a private message on Facebook that took three paragraphs.
I will be doing some “batch” writing tomorrow as I am writing for the blog at AshevilleMarathon.com and I have a lot of pieces to get written. These will not all go on the site at the same time but they count as writing.
Do you have a favorite time of day to write? Do you prefer to write once a week and do all your blog posts at that time – batch writing? Do you write daily?
