Just my Thoughts

February Challenge Loop

Yes, I admit it took me until February to jump on the Challenge Loop bandwagon. Challenge Loop is a website that allows you to set up a challenge and invite anyone you want into the challenge. It happens that I found two challenges for the month of February.

The first challenge was Erica’s Killer Core Plank Challenge. This challenge started on February 4th and ended on Monday, March 4th. The challenge was to do a plank five out of seven days a week. My first plank was 45 seconds. I have never been very strong when it comes to planks. By the end of the month, I was easily able to hold a minute and a half plank. I am hoping – I will – continue to plank most days.

The second challenge was Katy’s 28 Day Blog Challenge. This blog came with a list of 28 items that could be done during the month of February to help, strengthen your blog. Not all of the items were to be done on your blog. One was to set up a signature in your email account.

I did a lot of items that took me more than one day to complete. My blog had started at one format and then, when Yahoo closed that format down, I moved to WordPress.com. Importing the blog to WordPress had left some posts without tags so I went through all my posts – over 1400 – and made sure that all were in categories and that all had appropriate tags.

I also changed my categories some. I split the food and recipe category and made two separate categories. I managed to complete 23 tasks over the course of the month. With the exception of changing my theme, most of the changes were back end or dealt with other parts of blogging and are not showing up on my blog.

I am continuing to work on blogging consistently and to, at some time in the future, move to a self-hosted format.

What do you think of the new theme? Have you liked my blog’s page on Facebook? You can do that from the box on the right.
