I am not a big one to watch music videos. Yes, I was around when MTV actually played music videos all day. Yes, I love a good video. I just don’t watch them frequently. I do listen to Yahoo! radio while working at my computer daily. On occasion, a video will capture my attention and I will listen and watch. The last one that did this was One Republic. The most recent is John Mayer.

While purists will call Mayer’s version of “Free Falling” a cover of the Tom Petty song, I prefer to call it a remake. I truly love Mayer’s version better. The video is a concert piece and well worth the time to watch it.

I have always been a Mayer fan. I love his voice and his style. I am definitely more likely to listen to John Mayer sing “Free Falling” than Tom Petty. Now, if only radio stations will agree.
