While I am not heading out on Saturday morning, my 14 year old son will take off with his father and his father’s girlfriend (not sure what the proper/PC word is) for Bike Tioga.  Bicycling and Boy Scouts are my son’s things.

Having grown up in Tioga County, I love the rolling hills and scenic riverways.  I have, at different times in my life, ridden the roads that my son will travel this weekend.

Should you be a bicyclist, strap your bike to your car – or ride it down the highway (17C or 434, not 17) – to Hickories Park in Owego on Saturday and Sunday for Bike Tioga.  The earlier rides each day are longer but there is a ride for everyone.  You can download the brochure here.
