Whispers at Seaside – A Book Review

Whispers at Seaside (Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers Book 10) by [Cole, Addison ]
NEW RELEASE……..

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers
features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They’re sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you’ll be begging to enter their circle of friends! All books can be read as stand-alone novels.

Whispers at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster’s steamy romance novel Seaside Whispers. The stories and characters remain the same and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

In Whispers at SEASIDE…
Having a mad crush on her boss’s son, Matt Lacroux—an intriguing mix of proper gentleman and flirtatious bad boy—is probably not the smartest idea for single mother Mira Savage. Especially when the company, and her job, is already on shaky ground. But as a Princeton professor, Matt’s life is hours away from Mira’s home on Cape Cod, keeping him safely in the fantasy-only zone. And as a single mother to six-year-old Hagen, with a floundering company to save, fantasies are all she has time for.

With hopes of becoming dean off the table, and too many months of longing for a woman who lived too far away to pursue, Matt’s publishing contract couldn’t have come at a better time. He heads home to Cape Cod on a brief sabbatical, intent on starting his book, and finally getting his arms around sweet, beautiful Mira.

A surprise encounter leads to midnight confessions. The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the deeper their relationship grows, and the love and attention Matt showers on Hagen is more than she has ever dreamed of. But Matt’s sabbatical is only temporary, and Mira’s not saving his father’s company so she can leave it behind. Will their whispers of love be enough for one of them to change their life forever?

Addison Cole has done it again. Whispers at Seaside is another great read.

We can start with the setting. As I’ve said before, I love that these books are set on Cape Cod. I remember vacationing there as a teen. It really makes it feel like I’m visiting with friends. While I am a mountain girl through and through, I love visiting water and Cape Cod is one of my favorite places.

Then, the characters. I really feel like I am visiting with people I know. I also relate to Mira, the main female in this book, because I was a single mom. You truly do have to think that every person you bring into your life, you are also bringing into your child’s life. I can understand all the rationalization that goes on in Mira’s mind as to why she should not get involved with Matt as he is her boss’s son. Finding work in a small town is tough. Finding work that will be flexible enough to let you be the parent you want is even tougher. Mira is tougher than I am. I am not sure I would risk alienating my boss for a relationship that, at the start, might only last three months. Then, there is her son to think about. He has never had a man who was with his mother in his life. Is a three month period enough?

Matt is a great match for Mira. The fact that the two of them have let an attraction simmer via text and a few one or two day visits probably makes three months seem like an eternity. Not only is Matt good for Mira, he is fantastic for Hagen, Mira’s son.

You should pick up Addison Cole’s Whispers at Seaside. It makes a great summer, or any time of the year, read.  I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
