Crunchmaster Crisps – A Product Review

Just a note. I received two free boxes of Crisps for review purposes. I am giving away some of the products which will ship directly to the winner.

A month or so ago, my online friend Trisha said she knew of a company that was looking for a few more bloggers to review their new product. I emailed Crunchmaster and that was the start of a delicious relationship. I was previously familiar with Crunchmaster crackers. I have purchased them frequently at Sam’s Club. I had not seen, and still haven’t, these new crisps in any local store.

Crunchmaster has recently launched these two new kid-friendly, gluten-free and peanut-free crisps that I am loving. I have to say that I am continually amazed at how harsh a reaction a child can get to what can only be called secondary peanut tastes/smells. I have heard of many who cannot even be in the same room with products processed near peanuts.

Crunchmaster Crisps come in two types: Cheezy Crisps and Grammy Crisps. Let me just say that you would think a graham cracker was gluten free but that is not always the case. Both Cheezy and Grammy Crisps are gluten free. As a parent – even though my children are doing this on their own now – I am a label reader. The top ingredient in both crackers is brown rice flower.

Crunchmaster Cheezy Crisps

Cheezy Crisps are triangular and reminiscent of most cheese crackers but without the gluten. A serving, which is about 60 crackers (that’s huge when you need to portion out crackers for kids), has 2 grams of protein and 2 grams of dietary fiber. Grammy Crisps are covered in cinnamon sugar. The portion size, approximately 25 crackers,  is smaller but the crackers are larger and square. There are again 2 grams of protein in the cracker and 1 gram of dietary fiber.

I have to be honest. I wanted to hide my boxes. My kids liked the crackers so much I had to portion off some in ziploc baggies so I actually got some. I was excited to have bite-sized Grammy Crisps. Nothing is as messy as breaking a graham cracker to eat. I’m off to eat the last of my stash and then out in what is left of winter to find more here locally.

Are you interested in trying the Cheezy and Grammy Crisps? I’m going to be giving some away. Please enter by leaving a comment here on my blog. Make sure you leave a way to contact you. Winner will be drawn on Sunday, March 24 in the evening and notified on Monday morning. Product will be a direct ship.
