This coming weekend – starting with Friday, tomorrow – is the beginning of Folkmoot here in Western North Carolina. I went to the parade, nothing more, last year. I was going to head to the closing ceremony this year but have planned a trip back to NY for that weekend.
The parade consists of wonderful groups of folk dancers from all over the world. There are local cloggers. There are groups from other countries.
