Truman Gritt stole my heart from the first page. I was enthralled with where his life had lead him and what he was doing with it. Any man who could walk through a building but instead chooses to go outside into the rain to get to his apartment from his work location is a keeper in my mind.
What happened after that tore me to pieces. On what Truman would have thought was just another night, his life is turned upside down as he finds out he has a sister and a brother he has no idea existed. To add to his life, he meets Gemma while trying to get all the things he needs for his sister and brother.
The ups and downs in this book just moved me in so many way. Foster has, again, evoked many emotions while reading her novel. I am thrust into someone else’s life when I read her books.
