Lenten Fish Fry

Regardless of where you turn here in my area, there is a Friday Fish Fry going on during Lent.  If you are not going to or working a Fish Fry, you are probably having pirogi at another church.  Since the Photo Club I go to has food as the photographing assignment this month, I decided to take my camera to dinner at Church of the Holy Family on March 26th.  The food was amazing so here are the pictures.

Oh my gosh – I LOVE a good fish fry! (Which reminds me, I still need to get my annual McDonald’s Filet O Fish 2 for $2.22 before the end of Lent.)

My hometown parish was also Holy Family.

Thanks for these photos and a nice little reminder of my hometown.

Eva – I use to belong to Our Lady of Angels – same physical building. The diocese merged our parish and Christ the King – which was less than 2 miles away – almost three years ago. The two parishes decided on the new name, Church of the Holy Family.

The fish fry use to be a Christ the King thing so now we do it together.

I can’t remember the last time I had fried fish! (Oh, but it was yummy. Probably a digestive system DON’T at this stage, but just the thought makes my mouth water.)
